C.S. Lewis, Anonymous Orthodox? | May 8 - 29, 2019
Taught by Lee Webb
Many of us have been deeply influenced by the works of C.S. Lewis, including Mere Christianity and The Chronicles of Narnia. In his essay "C.S. Lewis, an 'Anonymous Orthodox'?", Metropolitan Kallistos Ware writes that Lewis's 'thinking is often profoundly in harmony with the patristic and Orthodox standpoint. Starting from Western premises, he reached conclusions that an Orthodox Christian can wholeheartedly endorse." Ware highlights "four significant points of convergence between Lewis and Orthodoxy," which will form the basis of our four sessions.
